Tonight I did my first job as a medium, pro bono of course, I helped an unpleasant, angry, and sometimes violent spirit find his way out of the physical and back in to the embrace of the ethereal. I thought it would take all night, but I was surprised to find it took less than two hours.

Every one involved sensed the presence and afterward the absence of the spirit. I'm still awash with the energy that flowed through me in order to make and sustain the contact necessary to guide the spirit onward. Even with the assistance of the primary, benevolent spirit of the place, it was a great deal more energy than I would ever have thought I could call upon. I believe the sheer power of it is due to my recent Reiki attunement and studies. I also believe that what I accomplished tonight was a healing of the most fundamental and essential sort.

I found myself Showing honesty, compassion, and uncompromising surety about the loving embrace that is there for all in the ethereal to a being that remained as little more than anger.

For when confronting the anger with these tools, I was able to see that what kept the anger here in the physical was a profound fear that he would bold be rejected by the ethereal.

 I'll likely crash tomorrow, though I was careful to channel the energy around me rather than draw the energy from within my self. Nonetheless, I imagine being a conduit for the energy I felt will need some recovery time.

For tonight I did good work.
